Voici que Sony s'apprête à annoncer un nouvel objectif APS-C (Super 35 en fait) en monture E, le 18-110 mm f/4 G PZ :

C'est un objectif orienté vidéo (le format Super 35 a une diagonale très voisine de celle du format APS-C) et destiné notamment aux caméras professionnelles FS-5, FS-7, FS-100 et FS-700.

Il y a des optiques couvrant le 24x36 dans le lot, donc on sait qu'il est techniquement possible pour sigma de faire des optiques FE.

Ce sont des objectifs pour reflex de la gamme Art adaptés aux contraintes du cinéma. Il est évidemment tout-à-fait possible de transformer un objectif pour reflex en objectif manuel en monture E : il suffit de rallonger la jupe arrière .

copie conforme du FE 28-135 f/4 OSS G ... ça chevauche beaucoup quand même, pour avoir un range 18-28 en plus qui ne doit pas servir beaucoup en video je pense (dejà à 28mm j'y suis rarement).

A mon avis le rapport optique/prix ne sera pas tres competitif pour de la photo (fonctionnalites video oblige). Il y a deja un 18-105 f/4 si ce genre de range en APSC t'interesse.

Ce qui pourrait dire qu'il aurait peu d'aberrations, de vignetage et de distorsion, contre un piqué légèrement en retrait.

This is a lens that crosses the requirements of two worlds of photography, stills and video. It can quite easily be used for both, with the proviso that to do so for stills could be quite an expensive option.

Having said that, it is very well made, very versatile, can be set up to suit the purpose and handles like a dream. Regardless of the price, it has to be Highly Recommended.

The Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS is quite an unusual lens for photographers to consider, but it is useful as a superzoom lens which offers a wide constant aperture. Although primarily intended for a video audience, it's easy to see how a stills audience would also be attracted to it.

That said, the high price point is likely to put off the average stills photographer, but if you like to shoot both video and stills - especially in a professional capacity, you're likely to find this better value for money than purely a stills photographer might.

The Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS is easy to use, and with the abundance of lens rings, you get quick and easy access to every setting you need. It is impressive in its silent focusing, as well as compensating for problems, such as image shift, which you might normally associate with zoom lenses for video.

Images (and video) directly from the camera when used with the Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS display a nice level of saturation, as well as excellent detail. Shallow depth of field images are rendered with attractive bokeh. Chromatic aberration doesn't seem to be too much of an issue, but distortion is reasonably obvious at the wide angle end of the lens. It also suffers a little from light drop off at the widest aperture setting, but for most subjects this shouldn't be too noticeable.

In short, this lens is an interesting proposition for the E-mount, but is by its very nature reasonably niche. It's large and cumbersome, but, it's not too weighty making it ideal for hand-held video shots, and arguably for somebody who really wants a wide aperture and flexible focal length choice in one package.

The handling of the Sony E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS makes it an obvious choice for professional videographers who need a super high quality lens setup without the hassle of having to change lenses, but for photographers, it's likely that other lenses will suit them better.
