Il avait évoqué lors d'une présentation faite par Samsung à Beijing début janvier :

le voici maintenant qui apparaît sur des documents.

C'est le grand frère du 16-50 mm f/2-2,8 S ED OIS. Comme lui, il est protégé contre la poussière et les éclaboussures

en tout cas, le prix risque de faire mal...au porte monnaie!
Cette focale est très interessante et complète à merveille  le 20-50. Le zoom n'a d'ailleurs  pas l'air très encombrant.

Je suis de ton avis, c'est pourquoi j'avais acheté le 18 x 200 que l'on peut laisser en permanence sur le boitier pour les voyages, rando, etc.
Un tel range plus qualitatif et moins consommateur d'énergie éviterait de changer continuellement d'objectif en abaissant d'une part le poids du fourre-tout et d'autre part d'être plus réactif en cadrage dans 90% des sujets

Il est plutôt léger pour un zoom à ouverture F/2,8

Non c'est dans la moyenne.Mais dans le haut de gamme ,il faut avoir envie d'employer le sherpas qui portera le sac d'objectifs. Je sais qu'en Asie le nombre permet ce genre de travaille, mais en France ?
S'il est réellement excellent il pourra peut être s'ajouter au 135 mm MD que j'ai, par contre le 300 mm restera certainement hors de portée de mon portefeuille et de mes épaules pour mon salut.

Le prix de lancement me semble très raisonnable et il faut s'attendre à ce que ça baisse. Samsung est un grand spécialiste de cette question. Aux autres de s'accrocher.
Pour vous donner un ordre d'idée en imagerie médicale, domaine dans lequel je suis impliqué dans la recherche, Samsung est  à 60 000 € maxi ( on peut trouver moins cher chez certains revendeurs) tandis que les autres sont à au moins 80 000 - 90 000 €, voire jusqu'à 120 000 € pour des spécifications qui ne sont pas supérieures. Heureusement comme en photo, les autres marques comme Morita ou Fuji sont plus connues de leurs clients mais vu le prix et les spécifications techniques, ça commence à faire réfléchir...

"As the second lens in Samsung's premium "S" series, the Samsung S 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS is another serious statement of intent, offering excellent image quality, great build quality, weather-proofing, and intuitive handling. It is very large and heavy, though, dwarfing some of the smaller NX camera bodies, and the sky-high price will undoubtedly put off all but the keenest of Samsung enthusiasts.

The Samsung S 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS managed to exceed our expectations in terms of sharpness and general image quality. Centre sharpness in particular is good to very good when shooting wide open at f/2.8 at all focal lengths, with the edges being quite decent too, and both being excellent when stopped down to f/4. The lens is also very well corrected for chromatic aberrations – you have to look really hard to find any trace of them, even along contrasty edges. Close-up performance is nothing to write home about – with a maximum magnification of 0.17x and a close-focus point of 0.7m, the Samsung S 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS certainly won't double as a macro lens, but at least the working range is decent.

The Samsung S 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS was very fast to focus even on the new Samsung NX1 camera that we tested it with, with the ability to customise the focus range making it more than capable of shooting fast-moving subjects. The internal focusing mechanism makes the use of polarisers and graduated neutral density filters easy, as it keeps the filter thread from rotating on focus. The OIS system allows the use of shutter speeds that might otherwise result in blurry photos, while the weather-proofing means that you can keep on shooting even in inclement conditions (just so long as your camera body is weather-proof too).

Priced at around £1200 / $1600 in the UK and the US respectively, the Samsung S 50-150mm f/2.8 ED OIS is certainly a very serious investment, but if you can stomach the cost and use one of the larger Samsung camera bodies, then the combination of the classic focal range and fast aperture may prove too hard to resist."

Pour s'imposer en portrait il va falloir concurrencer les 85mm sur FF et un 60mm ouvert à 1.4 serait probablement préférable!

J'ai vu ce qu'il donnait et franchement à la place ou en plus, plutôt, de mon 135 mm ,il me ferait bien plaisir celui là.

Il m'a semblé bien délicat dans son approche.

- faible vignetage

- les aberrations chromatiques sont assez fortes, notamment à 150 mm
- le piqué pourrait être meilleur à pleine ouverture à 150 mm.

Oui mais les 135 mm prévus pour les portraits ont trouvé d'autres points d'intérêt alors un 150 mm doit en avoir également, encore que ce soit un peu court?
Et puis de toute façon un photographe pro dira qu'il se sert uniquement d'un 300 mm pour les portraits.C'est mieux pour le bokeh et la clientèle est plus impressionnée.
Comme on dit :chacun voit midi à sa porte...

Il me tente bien , mais il est un peu lourd et son prix est un peu élevé pour des utilisations ponctuelles que j'en ferai.
