Deux boîtiers Sony, les Cyber-shot DSC-WX700 et DSC-WX800, ont récemment été enregistrés par des autorités de radiocommunications, par exemple :

On peut imaginer qu'il s'agit des successeurs du Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX500, un compact à super zoom 30x 24-720 mm annoncé en avril 2015.

Le Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX800 a été annoncé à Hong Kong.

C'est un compact à petit capteur 1/2,3" et superzoom 28x 4,25 - 118 mm (équivalent 24-650 mm) f/3,5-6,4. Écran tactile et vidéo 4K sont de la partie.

Le Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX700, que l'on retrouve sur le site chinois de Sony, pourrait être une version dépourvue d'écran tactile.
