Points forts :

- fût bien fait, petit et léger
- très bonne qualité d'image au centre
- aberration chromatique latérale légère
- distorsion bien corrigée
- faible coma
- autofocus silencieux et précis
- bons rapports performances / prix et qualité / prix.

Points faibles :

- qualité d'image trop faible sur les bords aux grandes ouvertures
- de petits problèmes d'aberration chromatique longitudinale
- vignetage important en 24x36.

Even though the list of cons, presented above, features some important points, the summary of our test is going to be definitely positive. The optical market can accommodate different types of instruments: uncompromising, fast, heavy constructions with significant dimensions and such instruments as the tested Samyang, a lens that seems to include some intentional compromises.

I am more than sure that many people will accept these compromises in order to get a moderately priced lens which is handy, small and lightweight. In return, they will be repaid with very good image quality in the frame centre.
