Essai très élogieux du Tamron 11-20 mm f/2,8 Di III-A RXD sur Sony Alpha 6000 par Marc Alhadeff :

Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD for Sony E mount test/review on Sony Alpha Blog

L'album Flickr correspondant : Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 Di III -A RXD | Flickr (290 photos)

  • Samyang 10mm F2.8 ED AS NCS CS (400 euros)
  • Samyang 12mm F2 (500 euros)
  • Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary (APS-C) (450 euros)
  • Samyang 21mm F1.4 ED UMC CS (400 euros)

Un indispensable pour les boîtiers Sony APSC.

Essai du Tamron 11-20 mm f/2,8 Di III-A RXD sur Sony Alpha 6000 par Mark Goldstein pour Photography Blog :

Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD Review | Photography Blog (7 + 3 pages)

Citation de: Mark Goldstein, Photography BlogThere aren't too many ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses available for Sony's range of APS-C mirrorless cameras, so it's great to see Tamron providing an option in the shape of the excellent 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD.

It does suffer from a few image quality issues - most notably obvious distortion at both ends of the zoom range and flare when including a strong light source in the frame.

Sharpness is excellent in the centre of the frame throughout all of the focal lengths, even when shooting wide-open at the fastest f/2.8 maximum aperture. It does drop off a little at the edges, though, requiring you to stop down to f/4 to achieve a similar level of sharpness.

The lens is usefully weather-sealed, another indication of its serious credentials, although unlike the very similar 17-70mm optic, there is no inclusion of Tamron's Vibration Compensation image stabilization system on this lens.

We were also disappointed by the complete lack of any physical controls on this lens - having to delve into the complex Sony menu system every time you want to change the focus mode proved to be somewhat annoying.

On a more positive note, auto-focusing proved to be quick, reliable and quiet, in both good and bad light - it was so reliable that we never had cause for complaint.

Compared to its only real main rival, the similarly priced Sony E 10-18mm F4 OSS, the Tamron 11-20mm for Sony is over 100g heavier, a couple of cms longer and doesn't have optical stabilization, but you do crucially get the faster maximum aperture, better build quality and weather-sealing, which for us gives it the edge.

If you're in the market for an ultra wide angle zoom lens with a fast maximum aperture, then the new Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD lens should definitely be on your shopping list.

Essai du Tamron 11-20 mm f/2,8 Di III-A RXD sur Sony Alpha 5100 par John Riley pour ePHOTOzine :

Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens Review | ePHOTOzine (3 + 1 pages)

Points forts :

- piqué exceptionnel
- faible distorsion aux focales moyennes
- faible flare
- aberrations chromatiques bien contrôlées
- autofocus rapide et pratiquement silencieux
- léger
- protégé contre les intempéries
- fait la paire avec le 17-70 mm
- vignetage modeste.

Points faibles :

- énorme distorsion à 11 mm
- pas de stabilisation optique
- la distance minimale de mise au point en grand-angle.

Citation de: John Riley, ePHOTOzineHighly Recommended – an ideal travel companion with a superb performance.

No two ways about it, this is an extraordinary lens. Its performance is superb, it is far lighter than it could be expected to be, it has weather sealing and the price is realistic. An ideal travel companion, with the bonus of that fast, bright f/2.8 aperture. It doesn't have any form of shake reduction, but fortunately, this may be more acceptable in an ultra-wide lens rather than in a telephoto. Still, that would have been the icing on the cake and some Sony bodies do have inbuilt SteadyShot.

When we combine this with Tamron's matching 17-70mm, it gives a powerful duo of lenses that could be all the travelling light photographer would need.

"Highly Recommended".

Bonjour,
Est ce que quelqu'un a un retour sur les capacités de ce zoom fort sympathique en basse lumière et également de nuit (ciel étoilé, Voie lactée) ?
Merci.

Essai du Tamron 11-20 mm f/2,8 Di III-A RXD sur Sony Alpha 6300 par Klaus Schroiff pour Optical Limits :

Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD - Review / Test Report

Commentaire introductif de Klaus sur le forum : "Surprisingly good."

Qualité optique : 4/5
Qualité mécanique : 3,25/5
Rapport performances / prix : 4/5

Citation de: Klaus Schroiff, Optical LimitsThe Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD delivers where it counts the most - image quality. Ultra-wide zoom lenses tend to be difficult beasts with a somewhat variable performance across the aperture range. However, Tamron managed to provide a very even performance with a superb image center and good to very good corners at all relevant settings. Image distortions and lateral CAs are quite low, even in RAW images. The original vignetting is on the high side, but image auto-correction reduces this to a manageable level. The quality of the bokeh is good for a lens in this class. The sun star rendering is OK but not great either. Another positive aspect is the resistance against flare - this is quite important for an ultra-wide lens due to its immense depth-of-field at the widest setting.

In terms of build quality or at least "feel", the Tamron lens may not be a crowd-pleaser with its choice of plastics. However, it's tightly assembled with no wobbling, even when extended. A positive effect of the construction is the light weight of just 335g. Compared to the competition, it is a fairly big lens, but "big" is a relative term here, really. The sealing against moisture is commendable, but it's disappointing that they omitted the dust protection - especially because it is an extending design. On the positive side, the AF is fast and silent.

We can certainly see why Tamron lenses have become so popular lately - the image quality is impressive, and that's something that we have to recognize here first and foremost. Thus, highly recommended!
