UFRaw 0.17 has just been released. The major new feature of this
release is lens distortion corrections
based on the lensfun library. There are already hundreds of lenses in
the lensfun database. If your lenses are supported you will get
automatic lens distortion corrections with this release.

If your lens is not supported, you should check out:

http://lensfun.berlios.de/lens-calibration/

for information on how to calibrate your lens and add it to the
lensfun database.

Package maintainers and other people who build UFRaw from source
should notice that UFRaw requires lensfun version 0.2.5.

Another important change is that we switched to time based releases.
You should expect a new release of UFRaw every six month, in the
beginning of March and September.

Other notable changes:

* Added a despeckling/denoising algorithm to solve issues with images taken
  under very difficult lighting conditions, like deep sea diving.
  It may be useful in other situations too. Patch by Frank van Maarseveen.
* Enabled hot pixel elimination by default.
* Calculate live histogram from working color-space instead of display
  color-space. Calculate live histogram from cropped area only.
  Based on patches by Konrad.
* Added auto-crop option.
* Allow upto 400% zoom.

Newly supported cameras thanks to dcraw 8.99:

* Canon PowerShot S90
* Canon EOS 550D / Digital Rebel T2i / Kiss Digital X4
* Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
* Casio EX-Z750
* Fuji FinePix S200EXR
* Pentax K-x
