"Canon did a good job once more. The Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM may be a lens but it is an impressive performer nonetheless. The center quality is great throughout the relevant aperture range and the borders are also very impressive. There's some softness in the image corners at large apertures though and this is somewhat emphasized by a bit of field curvature. Stopping down lifts the corner performance significantly. It is worth to note that the close focus performance seems to be a bit worse though (just from visual observation). Image distortions are negligible and lateral CAs are well controlled. In critical scenes you may spot some purple fringing at f/2 but that's rather normal for a such a large aperture lens. On the downside the vignetting is on the high side even when stopped down. The bokeh is Okay for a moderate wide-angle lens but you will notice some smearing effects in difficult scenes.
The Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM is a simple being in mechanical terms. However, the implementation is really good thanks to decent quality materials and a tight assembly. The lack of "substance" (weight) may give you the impression of handling a toy but objectively there's no reason for complaints here. Typical for all EF-M lenses, the auto-focus is driven by Canon's noiseless STM (Stepping Motor) which operates reasonably fast but it's not class leading.
Coming to a conclusion we'd say that this very affordable lens is pretty much a no-brainer especially if you're after a super-compact setup."
Sympa d'avoir enfin des tests sur cette gamme optique.
Ce que je ne comprends pas c'est qu'à la lecture des résultats cela devrait valoir optiquement 4 ou 4,5 /5.
Et lorsque je regarde mes photos, cela vaut 5,5/5.

Une bonne nouvelle en effet que cette nouvelle rubrique de tests enfin sur photozone. On a hâte de voir les petits zooms testés, même si on s'attend un peu à voir des résultats proches de ceux des derniers zooms EF-S stm de la marque, donc sans doute fort bons !

L'optique est bonne mais soyons honnête, le vignetage est tel que sa correction provoque une belle montée de bruit dans les angles ::)
