I've been looking to upgrade my D5500 to the z6 and I'm not sure if I should get the body alone or the kit lens that comes with it. I see that the reviews of the kit lens (24-70mm) aren't really raving about its quality and since I already have two budget lenses and I'm planning on getting the FTZ adapter anyway, if it's better to use them for now and save the extra money towards buying a better lens in the future. I'm not too technically educated on cameras/lenses but I'm worried that these lenses might hinder the cameras capabilities too much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi,

This is a french speaking forum, so please ask your questions in french.

As for the S 24-70 f4, it's a superb lens, nothing to do with a traditional "kit lens".

No hesitation there, especially for the price you can get it in a kit.

Don't waste your time with DX lenses on a Z6, they are not made for that.

Any upgrade has to be done in full if you want to besure of the quality of your equipment. An old lens on a new body will give mixed result leting you not sure of what is due to the pix or not. Nikon invested in the research to make a new body and some dedicated new lenses; ther is certainly a reason other than just selling more items.
Perpétuel insatisfait.....
