It's not a secret: I enjoyed shooting with the Sigma C 24 mm f/2 DG DN very much. Its two slip-ups happened in categories that, when it comes to the Contemporary series, are nothing surprising. In other testing categories the lens fared well or even very well. The Sigma provides high image quality across the frame, up from the maximum relative aperture, and it is the most important thing. With such an angle of view and aperture fastness it's no mean feat.
In this class of lenses only the Sony 2.8/24G can compete with the Sigma successfully but the Sony is slower and more expensive. In the majority of shops the Sigma's price tag has been $640 but nowadays you can find it on a sale a bit cheaper. At such a reduced price-point, it is a really excellent offer which I recommend wholeheartedly.
