J'ai mené mon enquête, en utilisant Reverso. Les traductions de Touit de Japonais (Cosina Inside) vers gaulois et de teuton vers gaulois renvoient toujours le mot "touit". Le mystère s'est donc épaissi, et je vais encore faire une insomnie ce soir ...

Il leur a fallut une procédure intense internationale de sélection.

But where does "Touit" come from? This illustrious name was found through an intensive international selection procedure. We followed a concept that is already well established in the automotive industry: selecting certain themes for product names.  As an example, one well-known German carmaker names its automobiles after types of winds and currents. We decided to derive the future names of the lenses from the Latin names of birds. That fits well, as birds usually have excellent eyesight and can take unusual perspectives. Birds are also diverse and lively animals. Furthermore, the Latin names all have an attractive sound and are common in many languages and cultures.

The name Touit comes from the band-tailed parrots.  This bird is very small and agile, and its plumage is deep green. The Touit parrots live in Latin America and the Caribbean in a wide range of different habitats, from damp-tropical island regions to lowland rainforests to thorn-bush savannas and even high in the Andes Mountains at altitudes of up to over 20,000 feet.

Juste une petite idée de ce qui a pu inspirer ce nom étrange ( issu des origines "latines"...de nos langues - ils prétendent...). "Touit" c'est le non dune espèce de perroquets connus comme "Melanonota-Ubatabuba" au Brésil et dont le joli plumage vous est montré comme ça:

"While both lenses are quite good, Fujifilm has a major advantage with a more affordable offering while also retaining a better build quality. However, Zeiss has faster focusing and better image quality. This is kind of a tough test to consider but we should all take comfort in knowing that both lenses are excellent.

But on a personal scale, I've always had a love for Zeiss products the same way that Steve Huff loves his Leicas. And in the end, I'll have to give the win to the Zeiss despite owning Fujifilm's lens."

They've managed to produce a lens with optical characteristics worthy of the Zeiss reputation, that's well designed and solidly built. Although this lens does carry a premium price, the additional cost isn't so much that it will put this lens beyond the reach of everyone, especially those serious about using quality glass with their camera."

C'est marrant, j'aurais pris la lenteur de l'AF comme un avantage : preuve d'une bague de mise au point démultiplier sur un grand angle...Cela aide les plus méticuleux...

Deux vidéos intéressantes relatives aux Carl Zeiss Touit.

La première a trait au design extérieur des objectifs, qui a été réalisé par le cabinet Phoenix Design GmbH & Co. KG en étroite concertation avec Carl Zeiss, et notamment au choix des formes (une succession de cônes et de cylindres sans aspérité qui semble canaliser la lumière de la lentille frontale jusqu'au capteur) et des matériaux (les bagues de réglage de l'ouverture et de mise au point réalisées dans un matériau lisse mais à haut coefficient de friction)

Les plus :

- Excellente qualité de fabrication
- Toucher de la bague de mise au point caoutchoutée
- Mise au point rapide
- Faible profondeur de champ

Les moins :

- Coûteux
- Pas de joints de protection contre la poussière et l'humidité

La qualité d'image est excellente :

"Colors are vibrant, bokeh is smooth as butter, especially at 1.8, and skin tones were nice and accurate"
"the color and bokeh quality trounces the Sony lineup. It's just no comparison."

La conclusion :

"Overall, the Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8 was a great lens to work with. Since the selections of high quality autofocus lenses are a bit limited on the NEX line, I would highly suggest the Touit line to anyone looking to get incredible image quality out of their camera. The legendary Sony Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 finally has some stiff competition. In the $1,000 price range, I couldn't see purchasing it over one of the new Zeiss lenses. Especially since they'll actually be in stock! If I were shooting Fuji, the decision, I believe, would be a little more difficult as the Fuji lens lineup is already quite stellar. The build quality is excellent and is more than worthy of being considered pro. Image quality is exceptional and the price is just right for a lens of this quality. If you're looking to up your game, then look no further."

"This is a great example, I think, of why test numbers are just one thing to consider in choosing a lens. According to the test results, if you want the best bargain and shoot at f/2.8 or smaller, the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 for $200 is just about impossible to beat.

The Sony 35mm OSS gives you slightly better performance optically, a wider aperture, and image stabilization for $449. At f/1.8 it's pretty equal to the Touit in resolution and has less distortion.

Stopped down just a bit, to f/2.2, though, the Touit gives much better optical performance than any of the other lenses. Worth $900? To some people certainly. To others, not at all.

For me, taking actual pictures with it confirmed what the numbers suggested. The center resolution is probably the best I've seen from any lens on an NEX camera. That's enough to make it a futur purchase for me."
