Au cours de la conférence donnée au CP+ par le patron de Sigma, Kazuto Yamaki, celui-ci a indiqué que le futur boîtier Sigma à capteur Foveon 24x36 et monture L, initialement prévu pour cette année, serait finalement lancé en 2020 à cause d'un retard dans le développement de son capteur.



Le capteur Foveon 24x36 reviendra à la technologie Foveon X3 1:1:1 avec trois couches de 5.520 x 3.680 photodiodes soit 3 x 20,3 Mpixels ou 60,9 millions de photodiodes au total.





Le développement du capteur Foveon 24x36 se termine ; les développements en cours portent sur l'optimisation de la qualité d'image et du processus de fabrication.

La fabrication de ce capteur sera assurée par un nouveau partenaire, TSI Semiconductors (une ancienne usine NEC).







Au cours de sa conférence, Kazuto Yamaki a également donné des indications quant à la mise sur le marché des objectifs Sigma en monture Leica L.

Le calendrier précis n'est pas encore déterminé mais les sorties s'étageront entre fin août et décembre pour les 11 objectifs déjà évoqués (et présentés au CP+). Trois objectifs APS-C en monture L devraient suivre en janvier 2020 : les 16 mm, 30 mm et 56 mm f/1,4 DC DN | Contemporary aujourd'hui disponibles en montures µ4/3 et Sony E.

La conversion en monture L des objectifs en monture Sigma SA fera l'objet d'un tarif préférentiel : environ 10.000 JPY.



Pour sa part, la bague adaptatrice MC-21 serait disponible au printemps 2019. Son prix devrait être analogue à celui de la bague MC-11 pour boîtiers en monture Sony E, à l'exception d'un prix réduit (environ 10.000 JPY également) pratiqué pour la version Sigma SA --> Leica L.

Les premiers de ces objectifs en monture Leica L spécifiquement conçus pour des montures à tirage court devraient être annoncés dès cette année.

Je ne suis pas sûr qu'on trouve déjà des bagues adaptatrices Nikon S --> Leica L mais, dans la négative, tu peux procéder par empilement : Nikon S --> Leica M  + Leica M --> Leica L.

Il serait intéressant de faire la même comparaison entre un 50Lux ASPH et ce 50 Pana, deux optiques modernes de taille pourtant bien différentes... (et au même prix).

Le Pana et le Summilux en monture L sont de gabarit assez semblable...pour le Summilux en monture M en effet il est tout petit par rapport aux deux autres ...mais pour le prix le Summilux M est à 4000 €, le L à 4900 €...le Lumix à 2 500 €, de quoi acheter un zoom ou deux en plus 

Certes. Et le Lux M risque d'être largué plus tôt dans la course aux megapixels...

Panasonic set out to make the best 50mm lens that they possibly could for their new S series full-frame camera system, and the new Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 certainly doesn't disappoint, being fully deserving of the "reference lens" moniker that it has received.

The Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 is an amazing lens, albeit one with an amazing price-tag (and not in a good way financially). It's one of the best 50mm lenses that we've ever reviewed, from any brand, certainly up there with the likes of the Zeiss Otus 55mm F1.4 and the Canon RF 50mm F1.2 USM. But as with those two lenses, it's also one of the biggest and most expensive too, so you really need to make sure that you're comfortable with the sheer size and weight of the Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4.

If you are, then you'll quickly discover that image quality is outstanding. Sharpness is superb throughout the aperture range and at both the centre and edges of the frame, distortion is negligible, and chromatic aberrations very hard to find. The only blot on the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4's copybook is some fairly obvious vignetting at f/1.4, requiring you to stop down to f/4 to completely remove it, but this is typical of fast lenses like this one. Otherwise, the ability to shoot wide-open at f/1.4 and create some wonderful bokeh effects thanks to the 11-bladed circular aperture quickly becomes intoxicating, especially as you can successfully shoot in near darkness (down to -6EV) with the new S1R camera.

The build quality of the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 is superlative, with the weather-proofing down to -10 degrees offering plenty of peace of mind in more inclement conditions. Panasonic also supply a good lockable lens hood and a soft lens bag in the box.

Auto-focusing proved to be very quick, very quiet and almost 100% reliable on the Panasonic S1R camera that we tested the lens with thanks to the dual motor system, while manual focus over-ride at any time is a great feature. The traditional aperture ring, something that we love on other camera systems, most notably Fujifilm, is a lovely touch on such a modern lens, making it quick and easy to change this key exposure setting.

Which brings us to the metaphorically massive elephant in the room - the price-tag - which at £2299 / $2299 makes the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 a very considered purchase indeed. Along with the sheer size and weight of the lens, this will inevitably put most casual users off, who will be better served by the S 24-105mm F4 lens until a cheaper, smaller "fast fifty" is released. For the photographers who value out-and-out image quality and the ability to shoot hand-held in very low light, though, the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 50mm F1.4 will quickly pay back both the cost of ownership and the cost of a gym membership...

Hein? Le Pana 24-105 L ne marche pas sur un SL? J'hallucine.

Normalement il doit fonctionner quand on a effectué le changement de firmware du SL...sinon en effet cela ne peut fonctionner car la logique des commandes n'est pas la même, sur le Leica pas de commutateur AF et Stab sur l'objectif.

J'avais vu cette MAJ donc je me demandais... il est bien léger cet "article qui donne à réfléchir".

It's easy to understand why Panasonic chose to include a 70-200mm lens in its initial line-up of lenses for its brand new system - it's a classic mid-range focal length that has a lot of applications for lots of different subjects.

A range of users from wildlife and sports photographers, right through to wedding and portrait photographers can find use for this kind of focal length. It's a shame not to see it be an f/2.8, but for the majority of situations, the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200mm F4 OIS should serve most people well - and an f/2.8 would have bumped up the already not inconsiderable price somewhat. Optical image stabilisation does a good job to keep images sharp even when you're forced to use slower shutter speeds in low light situations, too. It's highly likely that an f/2.8 version will make an appearance once the system has had some time to bed in.

Images produced by the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200mm F4 OIS lens are fantastic. Sharpness takes advantage of the high resolution sensor of the S1R, while it would also be a great companion for the slightly faster (but lower resolution) S1. Despite only being an f/4 lens, background blur and shallow depth of field effects are attractively rendered.

As is typical for full-frame lenses of this focal length, the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200mm F4 OIS is not small. But it balances fairly well with the S1 or S1R, with the addition of a tripod foot helping to keep it balanced. Having a flip back ring at the front of the lens is useful for quickly switching to manual focusing when you need it, especially if you want to make small micro adjustments to autofocus.

For the time-being, Panasonic's 70-200mm lens is expensive compared to similar lenses from other brands - such as Canon, Nikon and Sony. This is not particularly surprising for a brand new system, but it's something to take into account if you're thinking of making the switch to the S series from elsewhere.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S Pro 70-200mm F4 OIS is an excellent and versatile lens that makes a lot of sense paired with the S1 or S1R. We can see this being a popular choice for a wide number of different types of photographers, who are likely to be pleased with the results it generates. It comes highly recommended.
