Entre les annonces, les tests, les rabais sur des produits pas encore commercialisés (comme le Zeiss 50 en A), etc. je suis un peu perdu dans les dates et je ne sais pas si ce 32 est sorti ou pas.

En revanche, j'ai cru comprendre que le 50 sortira 1ere quinzaine de juillet.

par contre la semaine prochaine, j'irai voir si certaines boutiques l'ont soit de stock, soit en commande...

"The Carl Zeiss Touit Distagon 2.8/12mm T* is the widest lens in the Fujifilm XF and Sony NEX line-ups, and is therefore worthy of attention from anyone interested in landscape and architectural photography. As well as offering a very wide angle of view, it's alsoa great lens in its own right, with virtually nothing to complain about apart from the high cost of ownership.

The Carl Zeiss Touit 12mm lens is remarkably sharp in both the image centre and at the edges throughout almost the entire aperture range. The fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 makes it easy to creatively throw the background out of focus, with the nine-blade iris diaphragm achieving some lovely bokeh effects for such a wide-angle lens. Vignetting is very well-controlled and chromatic aberrations are hard to find. There is some very slight barrel distortion, but given the ultra-wide-angle focal length its certainly nothing to worry about. The close-focus point of 18cm comes in handy when including foreground interest in the image, as you often do in landscape and architectural photography.

The Carl Zeiss Touit Distagon 2.8/12mm T*'s auto-focus system is a little hesitant on the Sony NEX-5R that we tested it on, with a slight delay before locking focus. It offers a generously wide focusing ring, and on the Fujifilm XF version a very welcome aperture ring which makes it quick, easy and precise to set this key element of exposure. We did miss having a focusing distance scale with depth-of-field markings, though, for easier zone-focusing. The overall build quality is excellent with a lens mount that's made of metal and, thanks to an internal focusing (IF) system, the front element and 67mm filter thread do not rotate on focus, which is very good news for those using polarisers and ND grads on a regular basis.

The main downside of the Carl Zeiss Touit Distagon 2.8/12mm T* lens is the price - at around £950 / €920 / $1,250 it's substantially more expensive than the closest Fujifilm and Sony lenses, and with 18mm being something of a niche focal length, you really need to be certain that you'll use it enough to justify the cost. For landscape and architectural photographers who want the widest angle of view and the best image and build quality, though, the Carl Zeiss Touit Distagon 2.8/12mm T* lens certainly won't disappoint."

"This thing is built well. Those of you who have misgivings about polymer (rather than metal) construction in a lens of this size, put those to rest. It's built like a Zeiss; I expected no less. I was a bit skeptical about the choice of a DC motor to provide more power, but I have to say, they definitely chose a large, powerful motor, so that was probably just me being cynical.

The overall construction and design were very solid, reminding me of a Zeiss or Leica rangefinder lens; much higher construction quality than many of the E mount lenses I've opened up."

Les images postées à titre d'illustration sont instructives, notamment en ce qui concerne le bokeh (regardez notamment les objets très en-arrière de la zone de netteté, par exemple les arbres sur la photo du grillage).

J'étais persuadé d'acheter ce 32mm f/1.8, mais maintenant que j'ai retrouvé un 50mm (c-sonnar f/1.5) via le M9 et que je veux le planar f/1.4 ZA qui devrait finir par sortir je m'interroge fortement sur la pertinence de cet achat

Ils sont très positifs (excellente qualité optique dès la pleine ouverture), regrettant simplement, compte tenu du prix, que certaines aberrations soient corrigées par le boîtier au lieu de l'avoir été optiquement.

Formando tándem con la Sony NEX-7 entrega unos JPEG impecables y con una calidad altísima en cualquier zona del fotograma, incluso utilizando la máxima apertura. Verdict :

"- The Zeiss Touit satisfies me a bit more when shooting landscapes/architecture stopped down to F5.6 or F8 due to slightly sharper borders and edges (when the impact of field curvature becomes negligible). Both are nearly free from CA.
- The additonal f-stop of the Zeiss allows to play a little bit more with sharpness / background blur (bokeh) in close up situations.
- Under extreme low light conditions, the Sony OSS compensates a bit more than the one additional f-stop of the Zeiss. Even at 1/4s chances are still quite good to get sharp images whereas the chance to get a sufficiently sharp image with the Zeiss 2.8/12 decreases significantly when shooting with exposure times longer than 1/15s.
- The Sony is the more flexible lens especially when you are travelling due to its zoom range.

Both lenses can give you amazing results at a fraction of weight, size and budget that you would have to carry with an equivalent full frame combination. It was also surprising for me how close the Sony zoom gets optically to the Zeiss prime lens."

Curieusement, la mise au point automatique était décalée à f/1,8 avec le Zeiss comme avec le Sony (le SLR Magic est à mise au point manuelle).

Verdict :

"- When sharpness and contrast at open aperture have highest priority, the Zeiss Touit 1.8/32 may be the best choice for you.
- The Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS convinces me more in terms of bokeh quality and provides you some more low light reserves due to its optical stabilization. From my point of view it offers the best value for money.
- If you strive for the most shallow depth of field and creamiest bokeh comparable to a 50/1.4 lens on a full-frame sensor and can live with a bulky manual lens, the SLR Magic HyperPrime CINE 35mm T0.95 may be the best choice for you."
